Hello everyone, xē'suelen nyahyan
Last week, Foundation Festival 2956 officially kicked off, celebrating the incredible community that continues to shape Star Citizen. Running through August 12, this year's event features a Referral Bonus, Twitch Drops, and rewards for guides helping new pilots through our improved Guide System. If you've been looking for the perfect time to bring a friend aboard, the accompanying Free Fly runs through August 10, while our refreshed Welcome Hub offers new Citizens an easier path into their first adventures among the stars.
Ship Showdown 2956 also entered its first phase: the race for Best in Show begins! Rally behind your favorite ships and vehicles by creating content and highlighting them on the Community Hub, to help them earn a place in the Top 16 before the duel bracket begins later this month. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to win a L-22 Alpha Wolf with our latest contest!
Alpha 4.10 development continued at full speed in the PTU, with all waves opened last weekend. Thank you to everyone who has jumped in, tested the new content, and shared feedback. Whether you've been tackling the new Siege of Orison experience, getting hands-on with the new Arlington Lever Action Rifle, testing Recco Battaglia's latest contracts, or putting Instancing through its paces, your reports continue to help shape the update. If you haven't already, don't forget to check out the dedicated feedback threads on Spectrum, as well as our latest social survey.
We also published a new Roadmap Update, committing the feature lineup for Alpha 4.10 as we continue to refine Recco Battaglia's narrative experience and the supporting Instancing tech.
Now, let’s take a look at what’s coming up this week:
On Tuesday, Subscribers can look forward to the August Subscriber Comm-Link and Newsletter, bringing the most purr-fect exclusive content.
Then on Wednesday, Star Citizen Live returns with a special two-hour live developer commentary as we jump into Siege of Orison: a permanent PvE addition to the Persistent Universe, arriving in Alpha 4.10. Join the devs at 4pm UTC as they play through the operation and discuss what you can expect to come later this month.
The July 2026 PU Monthly Report will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the progress our teams have made across the company, as development continues on upcoming releases and the road ahead.
On Friday, the latest RSI Weekly Newsletter also lands in your inbox. If you’re not subscribed yet, you can sign up at any time through your account settings.
Lots of Bar Citizens are being organized by the community this weekend! So if you're in London, Helsinki, Atlanta, or the Philippines, be sure to join the fun, grab a drink with your fellow Citizens, and maybe even recruit a few new players along the way for Foundation Festival. It's your chance to be a Guide in real life too!
Don't forget that Fight or Flight 2956 sign-ups are now open! Rally your team and register for the 3v3 dogfighting tournament series, where you'll battle it out for the win.
a.thl'ē'kol, see you soon.
