    Happy Monday, everyone!

Alpha 4.9 landed last week, bringing a new arrival that's bashed its way into our hearts, easier material scanning across the 'verse, and the first rollout of a revamped flyby audio system, with more ships set to receive updated audio in future patches. The release also includes a wide range of fixes and quality-of-life improvements for missions, ships, and the UI, addressing everything from docking and inventory issues to several mission blockers. Check out the patch notes for the full rundown. We're still working through the feedback you've raised, and it's shaping what we tackle next. More fixes are already in the works, and we're eager to bring them to you soon.

For what's coming down further the line, you can check out last week's Roadmap Update and Roundup, with a first look at what's tentatively planned for Alpha 4.10.

Last Saturday, we touched down in Chicago for another stop on our Bar Citizen World Tour. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a great event, from the turnout to the creativity on display, the community reminded us why these gatherings are so special. We're excited for the next one, where we'll be heading a mile closer to the stars: Denver, Colorado, on August 15. We can't wait to see familiar faces, meet new ones, and hear a few more stories over a drink.

Short and sweet, here's what's on deck this week:

On Tuesday, July 21, our live servers will be going down for scheduled maintenance starting at 12:00 UTC, with a few hours of downtime expected.

All gameplay systems will be unavailable for the duration, and you won't be able to access the game until maintenance is complete. Updates will be posted on the RSI Status Page as things progress.

Please make sure you've logged out of the game and the launcher before maintenance begins.

This Friday, the RSI Newsletter makes its weekly run to your inbox, bringing the latest from across the 'verse.

    Fly low, and fly fast!
